I'm trying to give the "perfect" gift to my wife for our one year wedding anniversary. Any ideas?
I really need help. Our anniversary will be on a weekend which is perfect b/c then we can even fly to a destination just for the weekend. As long as its romantic. Please do not give me general ideas like "take her to dinner". I need concrete ideas- my wife thinks I cannot be romantic. Thanks.

Does she have a favorite place to go? Has she always wanted to visit somewhere?? Definitely book a hotel somewhere, tell her to pack for the weekend, only giving her tips on what she should bring...whether you drive or fly, is entirely up to you...try keeping it a secret until you actually get there if you can...Have the hotel put rose petals on the bed and have them chill a bottle of champagne or her favorite drink...make as many arrangements ahead of time as you can. Try to think of her and what she would really like to do when making these...does she like to bike/hike?? Plan a day for that...then do a picnic...does she like to lay out and tan? Book a place w/ a fabulous pool or ocean/lake...Enjoy seafood? Go out to the east coast..(unless you are already there??)
Just really sit and think about what she is always saying she likes, and go for it...what a great husband to want to do something just perfect for the love of your life!!! Congratulations in whatever you choose to do!!

Well, how much money are you willing to spend? and Do you have any children that you need to worry about?
You don't have to leave the comforts of your home to be romantic. If you want to stay home- give her a total body massage and manicure to get her our of the house while you completely clean the house. Then put rose petals and candles all over the house and especially in your bedroom. Have a meal catered if you do not want to cook and break out champagne and your the top of your wedding cake (if you kept it). Put on slow soft music. When your wife gets home surprise her with a candlelit meal and the wedding cake. Then take her into your room where you will shower her with more chanpagne and whatever else you wnat to do (that part is yours) later if you decide to stay in your room and are snacky-have fresh fruit available and a bowl of dip (whip cream and a packet of jello mix is good-mixed together) and feed her fruit like a goddess.
If you want to whisk her away - a romantic place can be anywhere from Florida to Vegas to New Orleans. I can't tell you where to go as that is something you must decide. I don't know if you like the night life or somewhere more secluded.
But you can do the same thing with roses fruit and champagne. There is a hotel off the Keys that is a very relaxing and no phone or tv. It is on a island. Search the interent for these options.
Hope I helped. Good luck

For the first anniversary the traditional gift is paper: Write a love letter, maybe make it erotic ;) Or: Find a picture from a place that's meaningful for the two of you - the place you honeymooned, where he proposed or where you first met - and get it framed. And then your gift idea will just be the icing on the cake! Surely no man in their right mind would object to that for an anniversary gift from his wife?

Okay the cutest most romantic thing you can do is a bunch of small things that culminate into one big one...go elaborate or go home. Get a bunch of little notecards or post its or anything and leave them random places quoting a line from the movie u first watched together or leave small momentos that are inside private sweet things just between you two placves like her car, her sock drawer, theshowerr, if u can swing it even at work and then if you wanna fly somewhere try to think of someplace reasonable but that has some sort of connection that shows ur thoughtful....if every summer she went to her gmas cabin in northern wisconsin and loved it go do that....if the beach is her fav place and she loves key lime pie take her to floridsa (obv thats expensive but you get the idea) lots of litte things can be the most romantic but everyone loves a big gesture as well...with a combo it should be amazing!

Get her a gold or silver charm bracelet. (Whatever she wears)
Get your wedding date engraved on a charm. Every year that passes get her a new charm with the date engraved. Pick a charm that reflects that year. Like the first year you could get a wedding cake. You can get a plane if you took a vacation that year that was unforgetable. and so on... you can make it really personal too.
Try www.QVC.com they have alot of charms and bracelets...
Its super romantic and not too expensive! It tells her that every year you are together means so much. Its also thoughtful since you will need to take the time to get it engraved. i would also put a note on it telling her how much the past year has meant and how much you love her!
Its the perfect gift for your 1st anniversary! if you start a tradition, she will think you are the sweetest thing ever!

How about a piece of jewelry, probably a necklace, with 1 single diamond to represent your first year.... but get something that would be easy to add another diamond to each and every year. Of course you could give it to her in some romantic setting, such as a nice dinner. Of if you can afford it a nice romantic weekend. It is a little hard to give suggestions as to where cause I don't know her hobbies or what "she" likes to do..So keep that in mind when you are picking out your destination.

Spend a day with her and do what she wants to do, romantic comedy movie, lunch at her favorite place, an hour or two massage at a local spa, flowers, and the perfect card and note from you .... and if all else fails, diamonds always work.

Hi,
What about a painting of herself. Small, just her face, so it be cheaper.
It is also extra decoration for the house :) she likes that too probably.
You send a photo of her to http://www.paintyourlife.com/ and they make your painting. See site, for more information... including prices etc.
