If we gave california "back" to Mexico, won't the illegals want to jump the new fence?
This is about mexican illegals, because obviously the other illegals can't jump the fence(but they should still be deported).
If we gave california "back" to Mexico, won't the illegals jump the new border?
After all, they didn't come here to come back to their homeland( there were very little mexicans living here when we took california over), they came here to work for american businesses. So won't they just jump the new fence because they want to be in america not mexico?
So why should we believe the argument that this is their land and therefore they should be allowed to stay here?
We should just reunite their families and send *all* of them back home to mexico.
I just want to reinforce the fact that I am not for giving california back but I am asking a hypothetical question to prove that the argument that this is mexico's land is stupid and unfounded.

Listen, we might as well give them Caleefornya because the citizens will be so busy with their waxes and face lifts that they won't know the difference. All of their hired help and service workers are illegals. Nothing changes except that we would lose Hollywood. Oh well....

If mexican citizens marched like that in Mexico, they'd be dead. You're thinking that people in mexico have the same safety we have when protesting. Not true. You can be "disappeared" into a hole that makes Abu Gharib look like paradise. The US is conveniently ignoring the human rights violations in Mexico just so cheap labor can be brought up. And trust me, it's big corporations and drug money that's bringing up large groups. FYI, those protesting here were both legal and illegal immigrants. Last spring, they were specifically protesting a house amendment that would have separated families unfairly and made being a person of hispanic descent in this country legally or illegally difficult. The right-wingnuts have twisted it to make you believe that it's all about people wanting all these rights and that our borders are being overrun by illegal immigrants. Don't believe them. They're distracting you with one hand while picking your pocket with the other.

The notion that California was 'taken' from Mexicans is spurious and historically false. And, if we gave any portion of the US 'back to Mexico' all that would happen is that the returned portion would shortly look like the rest of Mexico. The problem is not with the US or US immigration policies. The problems are the corruption and concentration of wealth (one of the most disproportionate in the world) that exist in Mexico and the lack of enforcement of current immigration law.
If Mexico were a less corrupt nation, their education system would be better, Mexicans would have more modern job skills, and they would be a competitor in the world market as opposed to being dominated by tourism trades manufacturing and service industry employment. And, if they were able to compete/participate at a first world level on the global market, fewer Mexicans would be trying to get to the US illegally.

So, you are seriously considering giving Marine Corp Air Station, Miramar, San Diego North Island Air Station, the 32nd street Naval Station, Spawar, and Camp Pendleton to Mexico?
Just to let you know, several aircraft carriers and nuclear-armed submarines home port to San Diego.
Any other vital national security assets you want to give back to Mexico? Oh, yeah, the port of Long Beach/Los Angeles, the busiest port on the West Coast.

Many other "illegals" jump the fence. They just travel all the way to Mexico.
Think of it as a matter of demographics. In Latin America, from Mexico to Chile, about 30% of people are Amerindian and a further 40% are Mestizo.
This continent was originally settled, about 35,000 years ago, by Amerindians.
Think of what happened to Europeans in South East Asia: they controlled Cambodia, Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, Laos, India, etc. But the people who had settled in that region had been there for nearly 75,000 years.
It was inevitable: the locals reproduced faster, because they were adapted to the environment there, while the European settlers saw their numbers reduced. Eventually, Europeans were kicked out (the last act in that was the Vietnam War).
It's the same in this continent. Europeans have trouble with sperm counts, are allergic to the pollen of most American plants, have not evolved to adapt to the environmental conditions so they in USA and Canada have a very high rate of cancers and infertility.
On the other hand, the more Amerindian blood a Nation has, the faster they grow. Amerindians thrive in this continent because we've had 35,000 years to adapt. For Europeans, 400 years is not enough.
So their numbers dwindle, while ours grow. It's, once again, the same situation as it was in South East Asia. Biology is ineluctable.

Yes they would. I say fix your own country and leave America a lone. The land they say is they're was bought free and clear. It is now and forever more part of the U.S. whether they like it or not.
