How much much money should some one be paid?
Designed an extensive art program from grades one through twelve with all curriculum standards plus more! for special needs students.
Implemented program.
Taught program for one year all grades, one day a week all classes.
Did the paper work, lots of additional time off hours and gave marking recomendations to home room teachers.
Art specialist BFA/Art , practicing professional artist.
Not a certified teacher but experienced in teaching. This would be for a private school.
How much is this worth in dollars and cents...it is pricless in terms of the kids but really...how much dollar wise is this worth?

I agree teachers are grossly under paid. Someone said once that teachers should be paid like football players.Then we will show we know the true value of what they do. LOL!
I am not asking for those kinds of reasons, I really do not know. Someone told me at least ten G because I am a professional artist. This is not about sour grapes I want to get a realistic idea.

I agree I wishiknew...I did already say it was priceless! I have a reason I am asking that is purly practicle. So don.t worry.
I have a family to take care of and I don't think that anyone should be exploited...janitor or doctor...we give our lifes energy everyday and unfortuatly that is not recognized as a messure for pay cheques! LOL! Hahaa. We can all improve can't we?

$100K minimum. Teaching is one of our most important professions, least compensated. Skewed sense of priorities in our culture for sure.

sadly, this depends on WHERE more than what, ie what you do.
if you teach in Appalachia, then you could be paid less than 29k
if you teach in a rich affluent private school in the Northeast, then it could be 54k. so do some research.
Also, realize that in the poorer district you might not have the resources you would have in a private school in NY, but you would also have a bigger challenge in Appalachia also.
and not being certified will definitely ding you. get certified, b/c wi/o a license, even charter schools are balking now, b/c of No Child Left Behind.

Well i'm a certified teacher and have my BA in English Ed. I only make 34,000 a yr, isn't that crazy.

..underpaid employees...not only in your kind of field..there's lot of you out there...with all the efforts and yeet what?...but whooah..i believe that it's not all the money that counts...there's this more than money you could be compensated with whe you'll the fruit of your effort...the joy of accomplishment...
