if a son has the same name as his father he is Jr. but if a daughter has the same name as her mother what ????

    I would go with "the second" or II. I do know of some female juniors though.

    It's not a common thing to do...I don't think there is any particular rule there. You put "II" (the second) after her name or just do nothing...it's probably not a rule to do anything, because it's a assumed the daughter will get married and have a different last name...

    Junior?

    I don't think there is a parallel for the female gender.

    You could try "2.0" as the father in the following article did.

    I knew a girl in high school who was Sue Smith (not her real name) Jr. But she was the only female Jr. I've ever known.

    Daughter's can be a junior as well. Jackie Kennedy Onassis had a sister who was named after their mother and she was a Junior. It just isn't that common.
