Bose Home Speaker Problem?

I have a Pioneer home stero system with the Bose surround sound system. It' s probably 15 years old but was expensve as hell at the time and it still sounds great. Anyway one of my speakers has a bad connection. When I plug the wire into the back I have to push it sideways to get sound. As soon as I let go,the sound disappears. Any tips? I have tried the wires from other speakers so it appears to be a problem with the speaker and not with the wire. I appreciae any help or recommendations.

    BOSE means:

Buy other sound equipment. Better sound thru marketing. No highs no low must be Bose.

Bose repairs their own and the only way they will do it.

Your system as old as it is, could be probaly updated or you may consider a complete replacment.

Bose is overpriced for what you get, and other better equipment is avalible at a cheaper price point. just look at any questions posted with Bose in the question.

Look at Denon or Onkyo or maybe even Adcom, for a Reciever.

Look at Klipsh reference series only, DEF tech, B&W or even Martin Logans for speakers.

How much do you love your Bose now?? Buy a real receiver and real speakers it will be much easier to help you then.

You will have to take the grille off the front of the speaker, remove the speaker, and repair a bad connection / broken wire at the plug.

This may be risky... but try opening up the speaker case... and make sure all wires within that are properly connected and then check the speaker to make sure that it is still in good condition.,... as in the cone not coming off or anything. Good luck.

is suggest buying a real pair of speakers, Bose is only for the pussy whipped husband whose wife won't let him buy real stereo equipment because its too big.

well it has to be serviced by Bose which is going to cost you a fortune, so i suggest buying all new speakers.
