  • Wireless Surround Sound Question?

I've been searching amazon for a wireless surround sound system and there are a bunch advertised. However when I read the descriptions and critiques people always talk about WIRING. Hello? How is a wireless system full of wires? Or maybe I don't have a good understanding of what wireless really means. What I want is surround sound without wires crisscrossing my living room. Is this possible? What are some good systems? Thanks for any help you can give me!

  • Guitar String Question?

I have a beginner's acoustic (western) guitar I have been practicing with. I've heard that sometimes a guitar (especially an inexpensive one) can have too much "play" where the strings are too far away from the fretboard. Is there a way to determine this (without taking it to a store)? If there is too much play is it fixable? Thanks!

  • Trance music question - do you know these songs?

Awhile back I remember hearing 2 trance (?) songs at some clubs in Europe. I cant find them anywhere so does anyone know the actual song names or artists? Thanks

OK the first one just has this deep voice that says "Cocaine" 3 or four times.

The other one also has imiginative "lyrics." Several times someone repeats, "Dripping Wet."

    Any ideas? Thanks

  • Paris Airshow Question...?

My family and I will be visiting the Paris Airshow this weekend. Does anyone have any general recommendations? Also the ticket options list the show, grandstand, and museum. We are on a limited budget. If we have to pick two of these, which one should we skip? Thanks for any advice.

  • Bose Home Speaker Problem?

I have a Pioneer home stero system with the Bose surround sound system. It' s probably 15 years old but was expensve as hell at the time and it still sounds great. Anyway one of my speakers has a bad connection. When I plug the wire into the back I have to push it sideways to get sound. As soon as I let go,the sound disappears. Any tips? I have tried the wires from other speakers so it appears to be a problem with the speaker and not with the wire. I appreciae any help or recommendations.

  • Life Experience Degrees...What's the catch?

I recently found a website online that claims to give accredited, real college degrees based on your real life experiences and you don't have to take classes or anything. I have always lived by the rule that if it sounds too good to be true,it probably is. I keep reading their material andcan't figure out what the scam is. Anyone with any experience with this???? Thanks

  • Table saw problems?

I have a table saw by Ryobi which I bought in Germany. It's not under warranty anymore. Anyway I noticed on a project the other day that my cuts werent coming out square and when I carefully checked my saw I noticed that the guide itself isnt square. When I set it to the length I want to measure it's ok, but then when I tighten it down it goes off true. Any ideas or recommendations?

  • Unusual chess situation...?

What happens if you get a pawn all the way to the other end of the board and you still haven't lost any major pieces? Does the pawn stay on the board until you have a piece to exchange? Can you save it for later in the game? I have never done it this ealry in the game before so it's never been an issue, but I did it last night and no one in our house could agree on what to do. Appreciate any tips.
