We are looking into buying a new TV - we have decided on a HD, LCD, don't know what brand yet.?

I have a Sony HDTV LCD Grand Wega 42". The size ie really your call, but ,I think Sony is the way to go. As far as your Dish Network, if you buy an HD TV, you will need an HD signal to it. So, you wil need to upgrade to an HD receiver to get the HD signal. I would also make sure you buy the FULL HDTV , not HD- Ready or HD-Compatible, because those last two do not have the HD tuner built in.

Nahhh... you don't need a new box.... UNLESS you want like all HD channels... then you will have to get a new box and sign up for an HD channel listing package. Now the TV... 32" lcd.... I know a lot about tvs and let me tell ya.... if price is not an issue... either go with a Panasonic, Samsung, Pioneer, or Sharp. If you have limitations on how much you can spend... then Vizio is a GREAT budget HD lcd tv maker... as well as Westinghouse. What brands should you NOT get... that would be cheapy brands like RCA, Emereson, NEC and more. If you haven't heard much about them... don't get it... one exceptin... and thats VIZIO. Also... make sure you get one that has HD built in... not HD ready... if you dont know what that means let me know and I will explain more to ya. Good luck
