These types of snacks can cause: Diabetes, Heart disease, Cancer, flatulence, and Hypertension, not necessarily in that order nor are they limited to only these effects. These consequences are normally found in persons who have a history of long term abuse, Anything that is low in fiber and high in fat clogs not only your arteries causing arteriosclerosis, but can also contribute to blockages in the colon and diseases like diverticulitis and other more serious intestinal and digestive disorders as in colon cancer and ulcerations of the stomach.
Overuse of salt would create hypertension after many years, though it can cause a rise in blood pressure in a very short period of time if there is a hereditary proclivity towards the disease. This, in turn, can lead to heart problems. Any rise in blood density or elemental compounds can cause you to have a racing pulse which in turn can compromise the integrity of your veins and arterial walls, leaving your heart open to cholesterol deposits that can ultimately lead to a heart attack or stroke.
Snacks high in sugar can cause rapid weight gain if not enough exercise is undertaken. This ultimately leads to diabetes, (type 2) and contributes to other side effects within the body's metabolism and ability to function without stimulants. Sugar is a kind of stimulant. It is so quickly broken down in the body because the fiber has been manufactured out of it, which in turn can cause the balance of sugar in the blood to soar. By eating too much sugar you put a burden on the kidneys, liver and other eliminating organs in an effort for your body to get rid of the excess. This is what diabetes is. Simple sugars are very debilitating to the body and some say that it can cause early graying of the hair and premature aging. Picture thick maple syrup running in your veins and you'll get a pretty good idea of what happens to the blood when sugar is eaten in excess.
Hope this helps.

Fat and sugar = lots of calories. If you don't exercise, then those carolies get stored in the form of fat. Salt dehydrates and causes blood issues with many people. Fiber regulates how fast the carbohydrate enters your bloodstream. A carb that goes into the blood quickly causes an insulin reaction. Long story short; insulin tells your body to store fat and keep it stored. High fiber carb snacks enter the bloodstream more slowly...no insulin reaction. research a Glycemic Index. Good luck.
