I am planning to visit Argentina in end Oct/beg Nov for 2 /2,5 weeks. Is is a nice time? What should I visit?

The NW has some pretty good places near Jujuy and Salta, but the Pampa has absolutely nothing. There is almost no towns or population there.

I would stay in Recoleta or Palermo, there are plenty of great restaurants in any neighborhood at least try Cabana Las Lilas or La Caballeriza in Puerto Madero

If you want to be by the sea, Punta del Este in Uruguay would be a good place in early November. the weather should be nice, not too hot and there won't be the maddening crowds that start to arrive at Christmas.
