i wanna trade AJ burnett and Carl Crawford for Matt Holliday

1b Carlos Pena

2b Brian Roberts

3b Miguel Cabrera

SS Jose Reyes

IF Placido Polanco

OF Carlos Lee

OF Vladimir Gurerro

OF Magglio Ordonez

Util Alex Rodriguez

Util Edgar Renteria

Util Eric Byerns

BN Kevin Youkliss

BN Carl Crawford

DL Mark Texeria

SP Chris YOung

SP Erik Bedard

SP Jake Peavy

RP Brian Fuentes

RP Fransico COrdero

P Kelvim Escobar

P Matt Caps

p Brad Lidge

p Cole Hamels

i think i can afford to give up some steals and some strikeouts, what do you think? the trade for JJ Hardy, Jimmy Rollins and Carlos Beltran put me over the top because i got Maggs, Byerns, Polanco and Roberts. Anyway can i do this, i really need to hold on to first!

Update:

no its a 12 team league. one guy left the league becuase he hated the scorign system and stuff so he arod from his whole team (he cut everyone on his team). i traded matsuzaka, berkman, dye for vlad, cc, chris young before the season. i basically pcik up alot of hot players and bundle them and trade them for major pieces

Update 2:

ok look cole hamels was a free agent, fuentes was a free agent, yokuliss, etc

You've got a really good team there. No kidding. Now about the trade you suggested. I definitely think you can afford to give up those two pieces. However, I don't think it'd be a very smart trade. Crawford alone is worth more than Holliday's value. Crawford is a popular early first round pick while Holliday is a late first round pick-early second round pick. You're panicking right now because your team's been struggling. That doesn't mean that you should have a firesale or anything yet. Over the course of the season, the stats will even out. Overachieving players stats' will fall back down to earth. Underachieving players will pick up the pace.

Just wanted to add: A.J. Burnett is expected to only miss 1 start.

The guy above me has said it plain and simple and right on the money. If Cole Hamels was EVER on your waivers this year your league is complete garbage. Completely terrible. Why would you even care anymore when someone dropped their entire team? If I were in this league I might sucker punch everyone in the league for making it so bad. Are you in a heads up league or something because from the looks of it this is just pathetic. Why do you have Byrnes starting over Crawford? That may be the worst move I have seen in my life.

No way. Crawford alone for Holliday is too much. Your team is perfect, leave it.

What is this, a four team league? How did you get Vlad, Reyes, and A-Rod on the same team?

Playing with anything less than 8 players is stupid, it's really more about luck rather than skill. Anyone can win.

If this is a twelve team league (and it's not, don't lie; someone dropped A-Rod? What league allows that?):

Put your best players in and don't look at this team for the rest of the season. You'll win. It's obvious that you're playing with people who don't know what they're doing. There's no way this can possibly be fun or entertaining since you're essentially cheating with that roster.

I understand how you think you can give up steals but your just giving up too much for Matt Holliday who is great but your giving up a guy who hes good at everything but specializes in stolen bases(Crawford) and a strikeout king in Burnett and you can't really find too many guys who have a strike out rate like Burnett's. You have a great team and deep team don't break it up because if anyone gets hurt you have great backups to replace them.

they're attempting to go Larry Hughes, yet he has diverse years left on the deal. If the Nets somewhat presented Bobby Simmons, they have been stupid to not take it, because of the fact he has a shorter deal. i don't think of he may well be moved. Noah and Thomas will generate gentle activity, Thomas greater effective than Noah, yet they are in a position to't get something significant decrease back for them. The movable products are Gooden and Hinrich and that they are in a position to truly get some fee for the two or the two considered one of those fellows. they elect a brilliant guy with submit skills badly. The Kings have had their eye on Gooden for some years now, yet with the emergence of Jason Thompson, i don't think of they had commerce Brad Miller for Gooden now.

You have absolutely no reason to trade at this point. You've obviously fleeced all of the other idiot owners in your league. Honestly, by your lineup, it seems like there must only be 4 teams in this league.

this league you are in is absolutely god-awful. i think you might want to look into a much more competitive league if Hamels was a free agent and A-Rod was allowed to be dropped, it sounds like it is complete garbage
