Serious students of philosophy: click on this question?

So you have clicked me and you are currently reading this sentence.

The sentence above was true while you were reading it but what is its truth value when you reach the full stop?

Does it become false? Does it not have any truth value?

it has truth value, but in the past. such as when you love a person and then you break up, eventually you stop loving them, but in the past it was true that you loved them, it was right for you at the time. when you told them 'i love you' it had value and now it still has value as a past memory.

    Friend,

Past, present and the future are invariably entwined in life. This is the continuity in life . Present does not deny the past as it knows that any second it will become a past , too. Future? It has an intermediate stop and hence the Future does not think too much about the past as it does about the presnt. It will become present any moment.

When the past enters the memory, the present enters the action point and the future simply blinks in the distant , like the traffic light at a distance . Your sentence tapered off into the memory. But , at the end of the sentence there was an anticipation of a present or a future ( by habit). In this case there was none . And hence the memory would fade soon into oblivion but it will never become a false one.

Truth is subjective, as is logic!! The truth value when I reach the end or full stop as you put it, will be what I want it to be!! I am the master in my own mind, and logic!! What I choose to believe is what will be!! If I want it to be true it will be!! If I want it to be false so it will be!! You are ignorant in saying, does it not have any truth value? I decide not you, you are the ask-er I am the answerer!! Having a degree in philosophy, I say to you, I clicked your sentence and read it and when I was done reading it i found it to be false as it was pointless!!!

You can't compare the sentence "So you have clicked me and you are currently reading this sentence." to love that's just silly...no offence to the guy

but that sentence is true only as long as you read it and for the amount of time that you are reading it, also you are taking for granted ppl read the sentence, if someone skipped it for example (like the guy who posted "say no to drugs" I'm betting he saw a link, clicked and spammed) does that make the sentence false?

Truth like beauty lies in the beholder, you can see something as truth and someone else may not as we all have many different perspectives. This sentence is not an absolute truth and as most things in our lives it is both true and false as it no longer applies.

Why would the sentence being over, make the sentence have no truth value?

Why would the sentence being over, make the sentence have no truth value?

Why would the sentence being over, make the sentence have no truth value?

Why would the sentence being over, make the sentence have no truth value?

Why are you still thinking about this sentence?

Just because something is in the past, does not imply it no longer holds truth. Just redundancy.

Many times in life we find ourselves in the middle of a dilema, and many times we face a conflict; because of a certain situation, which seems so very true to us, but not to others. Sometimes we know something is true, we know this with all our heart, but also many times, this makes no sense to other people. So, it begs the question, WHO does it have to make sense to?

The only criterion of Truth is Practice. You must prove, something to work in the real life, otherwise, it would just be an opinion, or a belief; even to yourself, let alone to others.

    KNOW THYSELF

    Good luck!

The sentence was true , a few seconds ago I was reading. Situational truths are still true even when the circumstances change.

Well, it's false when you reach the full stop, but true when you're reading it (or when you're meant/assumed to be reading it), because the sentence's verity depends on you reading it to make it true.

Same as when one reads a sentence in a newspaper that says, "Tomorrow will be overcast, with bouts of sunshine in between." While true on the date of publication, the same probably wouldn't be the case afterwards.

What was read becomes seed of thought. Care to sow the seed or discard it. Care to seek more for discovery if statement is truth or false ? Choice.

Personally, I'm leaving this one alone as with further reading the curiosity does not intrigue me to inquire further as I don't see the philosophical nourishment here.

I'll read the others replies though...maybe they saw something I didn't.
