Do you have A tent link this?
I'm considering buying a Northwest Territory 18 x 17 ft. Eagle River Dome Tent w/Screen Porch from Kmart for 94.00 ($56 off). (link http://www.kmart.com/shc/s/p_10151_10104_999000002...
However I have not been able to find any reviews on it. I'm looking for someone who owns this tent, has used this tent, or owns a similar Northwest Territory tent. Please let me know what you think of it.
Also if you own any tent close to this size 18X17X6.5 do you have trouble finding campsites where you can set up a tent this big?

I think you get what you pay for, and this brand, from this store that isn't very much. It might last a couple of seasons, but I wouldn't put it through a rain storm or any significant wind.
Also the size seems way overkill. If I was car camping with a large family I'd prefer if we kept it two, or maybe three, people to a nice sturdy dome tent. Then you could put up a screen tent for sitting around together. Those smaller tents could also be used for other things, like kids camp outs, backpacking trips, while this giant tent is only good for one thing.

It looks okay. Northwest Territory is a brand specific to Kmart, just like Greatland is a brand specific to Target. Essentially, big box stores are hiring existing tent manufacturers to build these tents with their store brand name on. You can probably get "Northwest Territory" jeans or something at Kmart too, right?
As an example, I had a Greatland (Target) screen room that was missing a pole. I called the Greatland number, and guess who answered? Wenzel. So... while it's big and probably won't last forever, it should do you just fine if you're an occasional camper.
If you have kids, and I'm guessing you do, if you need lots of room... bring zipper wax. And, make sure the little ones understand that going in and out of the tent as a game is just unacceptable. First thing to fail on lower cost tents can be the zippers, and that can really ruin a trip if you can't keep the skeeters out at night.
The fly on that model doesn't cover the sides of the tent, and the sides are at quite an angle. Make sure you get an adequately sized ground cloth / tarp for underneath it, then buy a large tarp for over the top of it too. You'll be glad you did - especially if you get any rain with wind.
Keep the big "over the top" tarp nearby, so that if rain is in the forecast, you can cover up. Make sure when you do so, that you tie the two corners out over the front door up high - higher than the peak of the tent. Use ropes, and run them out around and over a branch on a couple of tree trunks. Then, take the part of the tarp hanging over the back of the tent and stake them to the ground. Make sure you keep the tarp taught so that it barely touches the tent. (hopefully not at all). This will allow the rain to run off the tarp, and away from the front door area, so you track less mud in. :)

We realize that this tent is the size of the average small apartment .... very easy to put up and has plenty of room. The size is not so large really and leaves plenty of room to leave camp supplies and chest in while out fishing, without the birds and squirrels and raccoons digging through the dry food supplies. As a hint ... most tents new out of the kits are hard and take a while to assemble but once its up.. snap the pictures in your head and then get a permanent marker and write - A/A, B/B, C/C, etc. (ends that connect and insert another) that way, When you assemble it again ..it's much faster this way and will go up in a good 3 Min's ... no kidding about it. These are good tents.. and Happy Camping.

With every day pass, our country is getting into more and more trouble. The inflation, unemployment and falling value of dollar are the main concern for our Government but authorities are just sleeping, they don’t want to face the fact. Media is also involve in it, they are force to stop showing the real economic situation to the people. I start getting more concern about my future as well as my family after watching the response of our Government for the people that affected by hurricane Katrina.
According to recent studies made by World Bank, the coming crisis will be far worse than initially predicted. So if you're already preparing for the crisis (or haven't started yet) make sure you watch this video at http://www.familysurvival.tv/ and discover the 4 BIG issues you'll have to deal with when the crisis hits, and how to solve them fast (before the disaster strikes your town!) without spending $1,000s on overrated items and useless survival books.

I don't have this tent, but it looks nice.
If you're concerened with quality, Meijer and Walmart sells this stuff that you put on the seams and it water seals it. THat may be a good idea. And take care of your tent--clean it, make sure it's dry before you fold it up for storage, etc.
And as far as size, you shoudl be fine. If you have any doubts, any state park website will give you specs on lot size. And if it's a private place, just call them up. But remember, many people who go camping have an RV--and that takes up a ton of space! :)
