Shortest book in the Bible?

Everyone always says it's Jude.

But Jude has 25 scriptures.

I say 3 John.

It has 14 scriptures.

What say you?

Obadiah, with 21 verses consisting of 602 words, is the shortest book in the Old Testament, and the third shortest in the Bible.

II John has the fewest number of verses of any book in the Bible - it is the shortest book in the Bible.

III John has the fewest number of words of any book in the Bible.

I'm almost positive it is 3 John. If not 3 than one of the others (John's, that is). I don't have my Bible right on hand right now, but I'll check it out.

Source(s): You could google it too.

2 John only has 13 verses.

I suggest that you do a word count on each book of the Bible. This is an important scholarly pursuit that you could publish on Yahoo Answers so the rest of us can get a little chuckle and you can keep occupied with something really challenging and important.

Sure I love them both. They both will be easier to memorize when I get to them. I am working on the psalms now.
