"Sleeper Picks" for Fantasy Football...................?

Ok, fantasy football is starting and looking for some sleepers for each position.....

QB

WR

RB

TE

Defense

Your reasons as to why would also be helpful. As for myself, I like the following:

QB - Trent Green MIA - I think he will have a huge impact and will want to prove he is healthy and the Chiefs made a huge mistake in not keeping him

RB - Michael Bush OAK...when the dust settles he will emerge as the feature back in the offense as will M. Lynch of BUF.

WR - Drew Bennett of STL & D Givens TEN way down the list. Bennett will stretch the field for Holt and Givens will become Youngs favorite receiver.

TE - Randy McMichael STL - see Bennett above.

Eric Johnson NO - will become Bress favorite target if he can stay healthy

DEF - I really like Jacksonville, they started to gel last year and the NY Jets D is very underrated.

Thanks in advance for your opinions & input!

Sleepers is hard to predict, but if I had to choose for each position, then here's my choice...

QB: Alex Smith, San Francisco: With all the hype that's going for guys like Jay Cutler and Matt Leinart, I'm going to go with the least likely and go with Alex Smith. Smith has yet to live through his potential as a number 1 pick, but this might be the year that he has to breakout. The organization found him a new #1 guy in Darell Jackson and already has the best RB in Frank Gore on the team (did I forget to mention that he has an up-and-coming TE in Vernon Davis?). His 2006 stats were respectable enough as a number 2 QB in most Fantasy teams and will enter the season as that again, but if this offense clicks, look for him to surpass those 2006 numbers.

    Honorable mention:

Jeff Garcia, TB - Gruden surprise announcement to name him as a starter was a no-brainer after what Garcia did with half a season with the Eagles, sending incumbent starter Chris Simms to third in the depth chart. Although he might not match his magic of 2006 with this offense, Garcia might still post respectable numbers (considering Gruden history of reviving QB such as Rich Gannon).

Brodie Croyle, KC - Damon Huard might be the obiovious choice to replace Trent Green but Croyle is taking the first-team snaps and so far, he has been impressive. Some might speculate that he has the better-decision making mentallity and a stronger arm than Huard. Whoever takes the QB job in KC might reap the benefit and Croyle is just 3 months away from taking that job away from Huard if he keeps this up.

    Bust:

Eli Manning, Giants - He's still years away from matching his big bro numbers and this might not be the year for him. Tiki went on to do better things in life (such as the gig on the Today show this fall) while he was still healthy and the offensive line is dimishing to the point where Eli has to stay down to be healthy. Brandon Jacobs and Reuben Droughns are expected to provide the backfield offense for Manning but Barber was a huge factor in the passing offense and Toomer is still unhealthy to provide a decoy for Plaxico Buress. Just like 2006, it's going to be a hit-or-miss kind of year for Eli.

Honorable mention - Vince Young, Tennessee: Loss of Drew Bennett and Travis Henry, plus Madden cover equal sophmore slump.

    RB

Chris Brown, Tennessee - With all the rookie players and second year guys taken in the first few rounds (along w/ a few veterans), I like to make a couple of suggestion of going w/ the least likely and choose Chris Brown. Travis Henry is gone, LenDale White is clearly not ready to take over the job, and rookie Chris Henry still needs to learn. Despite a horrific 2006, he's only 26 and still has speed to burn on. Working on a one-year contract (which makes him the highest paid player on the team), Brown won't match that glory year of 2004 but this is Norm Chow's offense (the same offense that guide USC to back-to-back title games), so anything is possible. Vince Young is a second coming of Michael Vick but someone still needs to run the ball beside Young.

    Bust:

Maurice Jones-Drew, Jacksonville - Mainly a TD guy, He's looking to excel in his second year. Fred Taylor is still around but the guy that Drew replace is healthy and that's Greg Jones. You might not heard about him because he miss most of 2006 with a freak knee injury, but prior to that, he was the main short-yardage RB in the offense before Drew step up. With Jones and Taylor on the fold, it's going to be hard for Drew to get the red zone touches.

    WR

D.J. Hackett, Seattle - Vincent Jackson is a popular sleeper but the guy I'm looking for to see on the field is Hackett. D-Jax is gone and someone has to be the second go to guy behind Deion Branch. With the trend of second recievers becoming number 1 guy in Fantasy Football (Wayne, Houshmanzadeh), Hackett name has to be on the line of second reciever that could perform well in the offense that feature Hasselback and Alexander.

    Bust:

Marques Colston, New Orleans: His numbers were impressive enough to become the go-to guy heading into 2007. The problem was that Joe Horn was still around to play decoy for Colston for much of 2006 and now that Horn is in Atlanta, Colston is going to get a lot of attention from opposing CB. Devery Henderson could be a good complement to Colston, as he can catch the long ball also and Brees is becoming an elite QB but Colston's number should be down w/o veteran presense.

    TE -

David Martin, Miami: McMichael is gone and the job is his to lose. He's in a good situation where his number could rise because 1) his head coach (Cam Cameron has turn Antonio Gates into an elite TE back in San Diego and likes to use his TE in the offense) and 2) QB Trent Green likes to look at his TE in the majority of his plays (remember, he use to pass to Tony Gonzalez a lot back in KC). Besides Ronnie Brown and Chris Chambers, there isn't a whole lot of option to pass to (no offense to Marty Booker) with the loss of Wes Welker, so Martin could benefit from it.

    Bust:

Jason Witten, Dallas - Once upon a time, he was the only reliable reciever in this offense and it was happy times for him. Then came T.O. and Terry Glenn breaking out and Patrick Crayton becoming more involve with the offense, as well to go along with J.J. and Barber becoming the one-two punch in the backfield. As a result, Witten numbers has gone down from 6 TD the past two years to just one in 2006. He is still capable of putting numbers but don't expect a whole lot from him this season.

    DEF-

Green Bay - Any team that give 40+ sacks and 20+ interception to opposing offense can consider to be a good defense to me and that's what GB did last season. Only Chicago, Baltimore, and New England has accomplish that feat back in 2006 (Pittsburgh and Philadelphia was one short) but GB is not being talk around because they give too much point. The defense is still good and if they can keep the points down, then they could be mention among the elite come 2007.

    Bust

Chicago: OLB Lance Briggs doesn't want to be here after being slap w/ a franchise tag, DE Alex Brown wants to be traded. All as well as that one guy who serve jail time for gun possesion and this is a team that might be in trouble. The defense is still capable of top-10 but these kinds of distraction doesn't bode well with a franchise that just went to the Super Bowl.

QB- Jay Cutler- He has great talent himself and around him, he always that great running game. He now has some experience, reminds me a lot of Carson Palmer before he broke out.

RB - Tatum Bell - Hes going to get a half to possibly full season as the unquestioned starte in the Mike Martz offense, almost no attention will be put on him because of the plethora of recievers that they have.

Wr- Anthony Gonzalez - Remember Brandon Stokley when he was healthy? he scored 10 tds in a season. With so much attention being placed on Wayne and Harrison Gonzalez has the talent to run free and catch a lot of passes from Manning.

TE- Eric Johnson - In San Diego Drew Brees loved having a talented tight end (Antonio Gates) he now has another one, when Johnson was last healthy he led the niners in receptions. So he has the talent in a great offense to be very effective.

Defense - Carolina - They had an off year last year but are normally a show topping defense if they can get back to their old ways Carolina can be a major steal.

for Qb i agree i think Green will have a good year. however he isnt a sleeper pick. sleeper pick based on schedule strength is Matt Leinart. He will have himself a big year this year, also forget ints Kitna will also have a good year. these are 2 guys u can get in the late rounds

RB- i like A. Green in houston. He had a good last year in Green Bay, and his schedule is ok. Schaub will rely on him alot this year and that look to change it up. Not really a sleeper but mcgahee and James will have big rebound years.

WR-Brandon Jones in Tennesee. he will be the 1 there and in his 3rd year will have good numbers. also i like Mark Clayton Alot. Big things from him in his 3rd year too. I dont like bennett that much bc there is too many weapons in St. Louis. He wont have consiant weeks. Givens will never be healthy enough to play a full season

TE- Marcus Pollard in Seattle will suprise some people as a lower tight end, Vernon Davis coming off a half year will post big numbers.

DEF- Dallas Cowboys in Wade Phillips Sceme will have a really good defense this year. Big things from big D

A receiver you can get very late in the draft-Kevin Curtis. He did a good job filling in for I Bruce when he was hurt. Philadelphi throws a lot and he should get 5 catches a game.
