How do you watch Torrents??? I don't get it!!! Sorry, I'm new to it and need some help!?

I have been looking for a TV series online and everyone suggested I use a torrent. I downloaded the program and I am downloading the show right now, but my question is, how do I watch it??? Is there any way I can preview it to see if it works correctly? Also it says it'll take like 6 HOURS to download, is there any way to make it faster? I guess I'm just really really confused about how to use the program. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions? Thanks!

You can't do anything with a torrent file until the download completes. It downloads pieces of the file from many different people so it isn't a whole file until the download finishes. You can't preview video...you have to wait until you have it all before you can watch it.

Just do a google search for "speeding up torrents" and you might find a few good tips.

If you have Bitcomet or Bittorrent or any program like that, and you are download the torrent then when it is done you open the download directory (folder your downloaded files save to), and you can open the folder with the name of the show you were downloading and open the .mpg file or whatever format it is.

Also, just a tip, the more seeds (people who have the file fully download) that the torrent has, and the more leeches (people who have it partially download), the faster it will download.

It should tell you how many of each of these it has on the website you get the torrent from.

Try selecting it and clicking preview. If they are seperate files, each one should have a percentage beside it. (I'm only familiar with BitComet, but should be the same) If one of them says 100%, go ahead and preview!

But generally It's better to wait till it's ALL done.

As for faster torrents, the more seeders, the better! I found demonoid.com is good, but their registering limits are tight.

    Happy torrentsing! :)
