I will be visiting Poland (Gdansk) next week. Can I tune in to the English BBC radio?

You should be able to pick up BBC World Service.

I live not far from Gdansk, and can't pick up any English BBC radio. On free to air satelite tv i get BBC Prime and world news. On a positive note many of the radio stations play English music.

I don't know about the radio frequencies, but the long wave will be available. By the way you do know you will have the place to yourself. All the Poles are over here.

I am a radio ham, and I speak to the Poles regularly on the 80metre band, also 160 metres at times. That is why I said long wave, so there is really no need for a thumbs down when I am only trying to help !

    Longwave

    B.B.C. World Service 198kHz

R.T.E. Ireland 252kHz (this used to be advertised

    as Radio Atlantic)

Musicman. Isle of Man 279kHz (Not sure if this is still operating)

Like 'The Lighthouse' I can't understand why I too have been given 'thumbs down' by trying to be helpful
