Is it normal to order off the kids menu when you're 14.?

Yes very normal, i know someone that is 22 and he still does.

A resturant normally wouldn't deny you ordering off the kids menu. When I managed a resturant and waited tables I had an older couple (late 50's) come in and the wife would always order the kids spegetti. I didn't have a problem with it. I rather they pay a smaller amount if that's what they'll eat then to purchase food that will be thrown away.

The waitress shouldn't have asked you how old you were, that's poor customer service. Just explain to them that your aware it says "10 and under" but your really not hungry and don't want to waste the food. 9 times out of 10 they'll understand and won't have a problem with your order.

I don't think restaurant staff really care if a 14 year old orders off the kids' menu. All they want is something to live off of (wages and tips). It's also not very smart customer service to deny someone an item off that menu just because they're too old.

That said, I'm 24 and I ordered something off the kids' menu a few weeks ago. It was a day before I get paid, just got off work at 1am, no food in the fridge. So I went to a bar-restaurant and asked for their kids' menu. lol

I'm 18 and my mom is 35..we still both order off the kids menu. It's small and healthier. Especially if you are eating fried foods. They've always given me the kids price too until this week someone told me they'd have to charge the adult price but they could give me the kids portion. That didn't go over well - I'm not paying double sometimes triple for way less. Anyway, it's normal you arn't weird.

A lot of places don't allow you to do that unless you're under 12 or 10 or something like that, but if it makes you happy go ahead. My cousin is 16 and she orders off the kids menu most of the time.

Your very smart. The portion on the kids menu is what adults should be eating. If all adults ordered off the kids menu, we might not have an obesity issue.

I am 22 and I still order off the kids menu. Sometimes they charge me an extra dollar, but I don't care. I have a little stomach!

My stepdaughter is 19 and she orders off the kids menu because of the smaller portions. It's a great way to watch your weight.

Yea! Its normal to eat off of a kids menu. I mean come on a teenager has to have a happy meal sometimes..I'm 13 and I still order off it because I don't really like eating that much of that kind of stuff, Unless its something really good..And who cares wat you eat i mean little kids eat adults food 2!

I'm sure there are many overweight people that WISH they would be satisfied by eating from the kids menu... good for you.
