Toys R Us doesn't accept Babies R Us coupons?
I'm just a few weeks away from having my first baby. My mother came to visit to help with last minute preparations. She brought with her a bunch of Babies R Us coupons. The city I live in doesn't have a Babies R Us, but we have a Toys R Us with a baby department. We went there with coupons in hand.
When we tried to use the coupons the cashier told us they did not accept Babies R Us coupons. She acted like we were idiots for trying to use them. Now, isn't it the same company??? It seems like they would honor the coupons. Anyone else have this problem? I'm not sure if I should let it go or try calling customer service.

No, Toys R Us are not the same company although they have the same owners. While some groups will interchange each others coupons, most don't.
So, save your coupons for online or drive to where there is a Babies R Us (they have a hugely different inventory).
Please note: some Toys R Us have a Babies R Us (not just a baby dept.) in them. Those Babies R Us stores do take the coupons.

We only have a ToysRUs here but like yours it too has a babies R Us in it. I believe the accept all coupons, but we're in Canada so it may be different. I would call or email and complain, sometimes big companies like that are good at doing something "nice" for you just because of the hassle you experienced.

I dont know what the deal w/ toys r us is.... I tried to return a baby monitor a few months ago. I had lost the reciept, but would have been happy with just store credit. Toys r us does not accept any returns w/out a reciept! The cashier told me to return it to babies r us and I could get store credit there. Thats what I did, but I was annoyed I had to drive across town to do it!

call customer service. I am almost positive they take them where I live. If not use the online store.
