How can I get squirrels to stop eating my tomato plant?
I keep them in a medium sized pot on my deck so I dont want to move them into a smaller fenced area. They were right in the sun at the edge of the deck but then the squirls kept getting at them so I moved them closer to my house and they didn't get any sun... I also tried putting it in the middle of my deck and they still got to them. Any tips??

I have had problems with pesky squirrels too. I was given a Jack Russel Terrier and a Pomeranian; they both solved the problem. Also, I shielded my plants with chicken wire. I didn't make a cage or anything; just drive some rebar or spikes into the ground to hold the chicken wire in place and the squirrels will stay away from it. They are afraid of getting tangled up in it.

You have to build a squirrel proof cage around the plants. The chicken wire suggestion was good. Maybe you can make a light weight cage out of 1/2 inch pvc (plastic pipe) covered with chicken wire. This would be very light and easy to remove to harvest or do other things to the plants. Squirrels are very smart.

When you get an answer to this, let me know – damn varmints stripped all the green tomatoes from my plants last year! They would leave little half eaten tomatoes on the top of the fence rails, I'm sure just to mock me.
I've heard mixing a solution of water and hot chili pepper and spraying the developing fruits with it will deter the squirrels. But you have to apply it regularly, especially after it rains.

Release a dozen venomous snakes into your yard.
By a day, squirrels will be all gone.
But to get rid of the snakes, your gonna need 3 mountain gorillas
