Anybody use Windows Vista?
My daughter just bought a new computer with Vista. So far it is very confusing and we can't get one of our programs to work because of the firewall. We've even tried disabling the firewall all together. I don't like the version of Media Player on it, can we download an older version of media player??

yea u can download an older version of windows media, and sometimes there is a few problems with flash player.. if some videos u want to watch dont work, look for a red X on the bottom of the screen and double click it and your going to want to look for something that says Disabled Flash Player,, just enable it and flash will be ok.. ok the firewall problem .. when ever you start a program a little box will pop up its going to ask you to deny or allow access by that program your going to want to hit allow, and it should work fine.. its most likely going to always pop up, but it can be good so next time something trys to install itself, that thing will pop up and ask you.. so try not to disable that.. but just click allow and it will work..

I have vista ultimate and its ok, i only use it once a week, i have a triple boot system xp/vista/ubuntu, I agree it kinda confusing at first, you might consider installing a fresh copy of xp on the comp since all software is not compatible yet on vista and xp is faster.

nope, it won't work, remeber that vista is a new os, so that means a new version will noly work in it, unless you patch it... it's kinda hard esp with the new security in it... i guess that youl'll need to reinstall and have two os, xp and vista altoether if you wnat the older version of wmp to play..
