Why do my kids have to have immunization records to attend school?

Why do I have to prove immunization for my kids or else they are not allowed to attend school? The parents of illegals can walk in and demand that their kid is taught. Kids bringing in diseases to our kids and now our kids are required to have additional shots, but the illegals are not required to do a G-D thing.

Update:

The schools let in illegals, simple as that. It is true. They are in our schools and bringing diseases to our kids.

Update 2:

The point is...the more things we are required to do as citizens, the less things illegals are required to do. More and more demands are put on us, while more and more excuses are made for them. I am not saying I don't want to immunize my kids, I am saying illegals should have done everything required and just came here the right way.

The problem here is the lack of health-screening of illegal aliens is contributing to rising numbers of cases of TB, leprosy, etc.

"Many illegal aliens harbor fatal diseases that American medicine fought and vanquished long ago, such as drug-resistant tuberculosis, malaria, leprosy, plague, polio, dengue, and Chagas disease."

In an article in the Journal of the American Medical Assn., Dr. Reuben Granich, a lead investigator for the Centers for Disase Control and Preention, reports the emergence in the U.S. of a particularly virulent, multi-drug -resistant form of tuberculosis known as MDR-TB.

“Evidence of it has surfaced in 38 of 61 California health jurisdictions, and it could ‘threaten the efficacy of TB control efforts,’ Granich said. The infected were said to be four times as likely to die from the disease and twice as likely to transmit the disease to others.

“Reluctant to label the infected as ‘illegal’ or even ‘undocumented’ aliens, the report notes that of the 407 known cases of MDR-TB, 84% were ‘foreign-born’ patients, mainly from Mexico and the Philippines who’d been in the U.S. less than five years. The percentage of TB cases among the ‘foreign-born’ jumped from 29% in 1993 to 53% as of last year.

All kids need to be immunized. Illegals need to stay in their home nations.

Edit: Giddyup, ty but I'm not a he.

I could see how someone from a less developed part of the world with potentially worse diseases would bother you. It should bother anybody. I still would rather have as many as possible be immunized for known killers to prevent an outbreak. If illegals are not required too, it is another of a growing list of ways they are above the law.

how sure are u that they are illegals? maybe they already have their citizenship and by calling these people illegals, u're being bias.

are kids of ilegals allowed to study in a school?

those parents could also have had their kids immunized and

shown the records to the school so they have the right to just walk in and demand that their kid is taught

get ur facts right, hun, i know ure concern for the safety of ur kid but dont base everything on assumptions

u're a mother, so grow up!

Any child, be it yours mine or an illegal, must have a SHOT card to enroll in any public school. Perhaps you are not old enough to remember the Polio that took thousends of school childrens lives during the 50's. To prevent spread of decease, we must be certain that all kids have their shots. It's no big deal unless you have a belief that prohibits this. Then you will have to have your child home schooled.

Immunization could be a good thing.

Imagine a kid that grew up in an unhealthy enviroment. Never took showers didnt wash their hands, and then their parents decide to enroll their kids in your kids school. Shots cant stop nasty diseases like hepititis C and B.

just be grateful that the shots are required in most cases, hun. if you are a good mom, then you will want to minimize the chance that your children can become ill. Think of your kids as LUCKY to have the immunizations!

perhaps the church grew to become into under the impression which you have gotten photographs mutually as in college. while i grew to become into becoming up, this grew to become into the only place we've been given the photographs. all of us coated up and that they only did it one perfect after the different. if so, the faculty could have your shot information and that they might variety from the scientific ones. in case you may think of of going decrease back there, ask them if that's what they are questioning. yet once you may bypass get them on the well-being dept. Then bypass there. in the event that they ask the comparable question, tell them you haven't any longer had any in college.

I work for an elementary school, and all children have to provide proof of immunization. All children. If they have not been vaccinated then they must go to the county health dept. to get them. I have assisted in lots of registrations and not one was let in with incomplete immunization. I understand your frustration but your info is simply untrue.

well think about it this way, your kid gets his shots, you know what he is protected against...these illegals children go to school, they can catch all kinds of things.. makes our life just a little grander dont ya think

I am pretty sure that ANY child entering elementary school has to be immunized.

Do you have proof that illegals DON'T have to be immunized? It isn't that hard for them to get free immunizations - hell they get everything else free.
