Is it alright to refer to old people as raisins?

Update:

Not that I would call them raisins. Some of my friends refer to them as raisins. I don't think I would mind being called a raisin though. It's a lot better than being referred to as an old fart.

I actually laughed out loud when I read this question. As for whether it's ok or not, the term "raisin" isn't particularly derogatory...a little rude maybe, but it's not like you're throwing rocks or something.

No the older generation are our elders. And they should not be disrespected in any way. How rude to think you could label them as raisins....Would you like someone to call your parents raisins?? No because it is disrespectful.

  • Hmmm, would you like to be called a raisin when your old?

    Just a thought.
