Is anyone else getting a lot of "violations"?
I've gotten 3 in 2 days.
Cheers
Additional info- I do not know what policy I am violating. The only shared characteristic of these violations is that it may be appear as if I was belittling the asker. Boo Hoo.

yes, Y! answers is going down the crapper fast. if one person doesn't like you or what you have to say they can report you and the yahoo police will automatically send you out a violation notice. it's automatic, they don't check to see if you've actually violated anything or not. you're best bet is to appeal it. that's the only time they review anything and you have a good shot of getting your violation overturned. good luck. things are gettin crazy in R/S like that simply because a particular group of people are out to irradicate another certain group of people. yahoo needs to take care of this crap or no ones going to go to answers anymore.

If it appears as belittling, then actually means "insulting". That is a violation of the Y/A guidelines.
We can't tell you for sure, so you should try to get an official answer from Y/A.
If you feel a question or answer did not violate one of the 20 reasons listed in the Y/A guidelines (http://answers.yahoo.com/info/community_guidelines... ) and thus did not deserve to be deleted, then post a message to the Wrongful Violations board at http://messages.answers.yahoo.com/answers/forumvie... or send a direct e-mail to y_answrs_team@yahoo.com or answers-abuse@cc.yahoo-inc.com . Explain why your Q or A did not violate guidelines or just ask them to state why your Q or A was removed. NOTE: It may take weeks to get a response. Then again, a response isn't guaranteed.

Yahoo has been increasingly cracking down on abuse of the Guidelines (link, bottom of page, if you haven't read them).
If you didn't violate the Guidelines, you can complain in the Forum, under Wrongful Deletions.
If they were legitimate, then you should stay within the Guidelines; they suspend and ban chronic abusers from all Yahoo services.

is a site just like this, but without Guidelines; you could go there, if you don't like the Guidelines here.

I get them now & then. Mostly from people with no sense of humor. look at it this way- the whole thing is free! the "end of the world" scenario is you have to start another account. if they started a site for "violations" they couldn't handle the volume. like professional wrestling. Hi Cindy!

Gee, I guess you must be "chillin' like a villain!"
And you never know what you actually did wrong to merit it, right?
