Border Patrol Training Camp.....?

Well, theoretically, the Southern border represents more danger. But the Canadian border has been proven to be the second largest source of illegal immigrants, including many terrorists. I think both borders should be given importance.

The training camp you mentioned I'm going to assume is FLETC. The Federal Law Enforcement Training Center. Located in Artisia, New Mexico. It's not just a training center for Border Patrol but all governmental law enforcement agencies. Training at this center includes agencies such as Border Patrol, FBI, NSA, FFDO, BOIA, etc. It's not reserved specifically for Border Patrol. You should be able to find more information about this center by doing a search for FLETC or Federal Law Enforcement Training Center.

They are not targeting just the Mexicans. It's just the central location were all physical training is conducted for the agencies I mentioned as well as others.

Your right. Even if they begin to crack down on the southern border with a wall and many more border patrols agents, the emphasis of illegals and terrorists will turn to the northern border. While the Canadians are not a problem, it is the people who fly or enter the US through their country we will have to watch for.

You would think...especially with the "terror alerts" they always talk about, they would have been much farther along by now. I mean, what is the point of even having alerts and talking about fighting terrorism when they aren't taking action on the sources of entry besides planes?

Excellent question. I think one of the reasons is because the southern border is so porous compared to the northern border. Have you ever been to the border of the US and Canada. It's really rugged country and hardly conducive to hordes of people tramping through bug infested forests. I am sure some people are coming through that way, but the Southern border appears to be the main gate for illegals. The northern border is patrolled but we have to focus our attention mainly on that area that is causing the most problems.

The southern border is where most illegals are coming from therefore the location makes complete sense. It sounds like you're saying that only mexicans are crossing through that border therefore,it is YOU who is targeting mexicans not anyone else.

Many more illegals come into the country via the southern border as opposed to the northern border, so isn't it common sense to target the southern border?

Absolutly a valid point. We have 2 "latino" border patrol agents in prison for doing their jobs. We have more accused of aiding the smugglers and they are Mexican. All illegals are a threat and you are right. I mean I'd be worried if it were only "white" agents at the Northern border when we were being invaded by "white" people. You don't let the fox guard the hen house.

Not when the Mexican border is pumping 10000 times the illegals into our country as Canada is. Come on, use some logic and think about what you pose to us before you jump on the "racist" fingerpointing train. "wanna be's" can shoot straight too....

and even mexico - which they have definitely 'targeted' - still as good as wide open...
