Friend, going to heaven is based on one thing only: You and you alone repented of YOUR sins and asked Jesus to come into your heart.
People can pray that one will accept Jesus as their Savior, but no one can do it for you or your father. Sorry.
Friend, if he is in heaven, he is far more alive than you and I are or will ever be on this earth! You can bank on that! The hugs that we will receive from our Holy Father...can't wait! And to hear His voice at last...!!!!!!!!! And to see Jesus in all His Glory!!! "...OH what a day that will be...!!!!

I'm so sorry you lost your dad! You shall probably not know for sure whether or he went to Heaven; but you can certainly hope so! How he lived, unfortunately doesn't matter much. What matters is whether or not he accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior!
I shall pray for you that God will give you the peace that passes all understanding, and hope with you that he *did* go to Heaven! God bless!

If he truly did those things you say, then he will enter into the Kingdom. Here is some reassuring words Paul spoke, which are relevant to you right now.
1Th 4:13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
1Th 4:14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
1Th 4:15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
1Th 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
1Th 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
I am sorry for your loss, as both of my parents have passed away as well.
Paul

I am truly sorry to hear of the loss of your father, it must be really painful for you, I am sorry for your pain also, but the Bible gives us encouiraging news about death, and dead loved ones(Revelation21:4) is a very heartwarming verse and very comforting, also, for it tells us that pain and mourning will be removed very soon, as will our tears of sorrow, but there will be tears of joy especially, when our dear dead loved ones are resurrected, although your dad may not necessarily be resurrected to heaven, he may possibly be resurrected back to the earth, the Bible says that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and unrighteous, both those who lived in harmony with God's righteous ways and people who, out of ignorance, did unrighteous things will be resurrected(Acts24:15). Of course to have the opportunity to see your father resurrected again you need to be there when he is resurrected, and you can be.The answers to how you can be there, are found in the Bible, so you need to learn what the Bible teaches, rather, than, what any individual person, or organization may tell you, only the Bible has the true answers, and to get everlasting life we need to know what the Bible says(John17:3) and follow it's advice.

Trust in the Divine Mercy of Jesus and remember that on the cross one of the last things he did was cry to his Father "Father forgive them for they know not what they do" I believe it was for people like your Father. My Dad passed away last year and I was with him and he got the most beautiful look on his face, I just knew someone very special was there for him. Trust in Jesus and continue to pray because the Lord is Lord of time too and he can apply your prayers for your Father to him right before he passed.
We see from this side, the underside of a tapestry but, from our side it doesn't look beautiful at all but, we will see just how beautifull it is when we get to the other side and realize how everything happened for certain reasons and we will understand.

If he believed, if he did not no good behavior can save hi. Psalms 49:7 says that you cannot do anything to save your dad, that is what he must do, mormons believe otherwise but to hold a bible in their hand and say that is being hypocritical, because like I said, read Psalms 49:7. If he knew Jesus though he is saved. I wish you luck in your grieving and even if you don't want to hear what I have to say, at least read Psalms 49:7 and get the facts.

I'm sorry for your loss. Although it's natural to miss him, you can have confidence that he is in the spirit world with family and friends where he will continue to grow and develop. At some point he will be resurrected, which means his spirit will be reunited with a perfect physical body.
The idea that you either go to heaven or hell based on a one time acceptance of Christ is false. Hell is a condition people live in who ignore the principles of happiness. The purpose of earth life is to develop a better understanding of the difference between right and wrong. Our Heavenly Father will never give up on any of us and I'm sure he's pleased with your dad if he lived according to his conscience.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Losing a parent must be hard. But, based on what you've told us about your dad (that he accepted Jesus and tried to live according to His commands), I see no reason for you to be doubtful. If your dad truly put his trust in Jesus as His Savior and accepted His sacrifice on his behalf, then your dad was saved (only God can judge a man's heart). God always keeps His word. In the Bible we are assured:
"That if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. As the Scripture says, 'Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame.' For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, 'Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.'" (Our faith is what saves us; works do not)
So, let God put your fears to rest. He always keeps His promises. I'll be praying that God gives you peace about this.

God does not merely make up rules and do something He pleases. he's holy and stable, and the guidelines for what's and is not stable might desire to on no account have been in any different case. God advised the early human beings that their purely happiness lies in Him, and the different selection may lead them to demise and misery. it is not something God might have made in any different case if He felt like it- this is purely an straightforward description of the character of fact. . . form of like telling somebody that in the event that they leap off a tall development they'll die. yet, they chosen to head their very own way and do their very own factor besides, and, merely as He advised them, they suffered the outcomes for that. God does not be righteous or holy if he merely ignored that sin and enable them to do something they overjoyed. The penalty for sin is demise, and if God is to be merely, then that debt might desire to be paid, by some potential. yet God, being the loving author that he's, wasn't prepared to allow that be the tip of it. He grow to be prepared to pay that fee Himself, so as that shall we be saved from hell. because of the fact if we don't pay the fee, then somebody certainly might desire to do it in our place. Jesus might desire to try this for us because of the fact He on no account sinned, and for this reason he did not owe a sin debt in any respect. this is form of like in case you commit a criminal offense and get thrown in detention center. the different prisoners are actually not likely to have the potential that can assist you you submit bail. purely somebody who hasn't commited a criminal offense and is for this reason not in detention center himself might have the potential to come again bail you out. So our sin-debt grow to be paid by utilizing Jesus' demise, and thanks to that, we are able to be top with God returned. The righteousness of God is happy, and His love for us is proved on the comparable time.

Hi Willie,
The Bible teaches us certain things pertaining to death. And much of them many of Christians as well as unbelievers are totally ignorant of. If you want to know the Truth on the matter, for a start you need to look into what God says in the Bible. Not just one verse, but many. I noticed that many were saying that, yes, he's in Heaven. Or, he's in Heaven and resting in Peace(contradiction of terms). It's not whether he was good or not, but whether he had received Jesus Christ to be Saved or not. None of us truly know what is in a persons heart right before they die. They could receive Jesus and no one will know the wiser. But this is what the Bible teaches on death. Job 14:10-15,Ecclesiastes 12:7, 9:5, Psalm 115:17,146:4. As you can see in these verses that man sleeps after death in his grave. But you will see in these next verses that he/she will only be Resurrected and given the glorified body to live forever (if they've received Jesus Christ unto Eternal Life)at His Coming and not before. Daniel 12:1-2, John 5:28-29, 1 Thesselonians 4:13-18*.This body will have to put on a new body in order to be received into heaven. 2Corinthians 5:1-10,1Corinthians 15:42-58.The LORD speaks much on this matter.Man does not, but misuses verses here and there to fit their agenda of putting their "feel-good-god" in a box because they want to make themselves happy and others as well telling them that they're in a better place or in Heaven. What does the term REST IN PEACE really mean? Your father is resting in peace according to the Scripture. As for Judgement, this will not come until Jesus' second coming.2Timothy 4:1,Ecclesiastes 3:17. May the Lord our God encourage you in your time of need and give you understanding in this matter. We thank you for the desire to know about your father. You cannot pray to him and it wont matter if you pray for him.As you see in the Scriptures his fate is sealed. He as well as we are accountable for our own lives before Him when we will see Him next after death and the resurrection. You cannot begin to speculate on what or where he is other then by the Scriptures and what it says, or you will just lead yourself into believing a lie. But I do have an encouraging Word for you incase he did receive Jesus before his death. The Lord has said to us in Isaiah 57:1-2'THE RIGHTEOUS PERISHES AND NONE LAYS IT TO HEART(nobody thinks about it), AND MERCIFUL MEN ARE TAKEN AWAY, NONE CONSIDERS THAT THE RIGHTEOUS ARE TAKEN AWAY FROM THE EVIL TO COME. HE SHALL ENTER INTO HIS PEACE;THEY SHALL REST IN THEIR BEDS, EACH ONE WALKING IN HIS UPRIGHTNESS(what he did while being alive).' Please pray to the Lord for your peace on this matter. He wants you to understand His will for us and your Dad.I have lost family members and a close Brother.I can speculate that he wasn't saved because of the way he lived his life while being alive. But really, I don't know if he ever heard about Jesus and cried out to Him while he was dieing.Really, only God knows what was in your Dad's heart before death. But one thing that you do need to make sure of ........is that you'll be ready to be there and go at Jesus' coming or being ready for death and the resurrection(whichever comes first). Our prayers are with you, May you take the time to go over what we've shared with you that you may have a better understanding on these things and not be mislead into spiritual mumbo jumbo that either twists Scripture, or says nothing of Jesus Christ's Saving Love.In His Love .Pastor B and Chriist

My heartiest sympathy.
This is not the right place and time to ask such question. At this stage you should be patient and seek His guidance.
