Blood is thicker than water?

But sperm is thicker than blood. Unless the blood is coagulated. Then that family memeber would be a big clot. What are your thoughts?

Blood is thicker than water, but way more viscous than ice. It's all a matter of the ambient thermal conditions. Same with ejaculate, which ideally is kept a body temperature (98.6 fahrenheit or thereabouts) except in the vicinity of adolescent males where it may be found at room temperature on most flat surfaces.

So, my thoughts are basically that this is a question of thermodynamics. If you are hot, then indeed, blood is thicker than water. If you are frigid, then even water is hard.

    Cheers.

This phrase is usually used to remind family members that their allegiance should always remain with their family first, and outside acquaintences second.<br />

this is most commonly used to imply that the bonds between family (blood) are more important (thicker) than those formed with friends (water). Beacuse if they are your family the same bloods run though you all not the same sperm.

This statement is profoundly racist... The answer from Has demonstrates the truth of the matter; according to this idea, if your friend is correct, you should disregard him in favour of your (incorrect) family member... The fact that a stranger is a 'better man for the job' is irrelevant, you should give the job to your brother, sister, aunt etc...

Any decision based solely on 'blood' is a racist one; the concept of family is the oldest form of racism on the planet...

I think so because if you've ever squeezed blood out of your skin it makes a "blood ball". There's your answer.

I don't know. It's an antiquated saying that doesn't really mean much.
