What's the best feminine wash?
I was wondering what the best feminine wash is. I use Summers Eve, is it any better then your average body wash. Are there any better products out there?
I don't know how douching came up but that wasn't part of my question, nor was an infection. I was just wondering if Summers Eve was any better than a mild soap or body wash, if it was worth the 5 bucks it costs or if its just a waste of money.

Usually the stuff from Bath and Body works is great! I like to use a regular soap (or ever just shampoo) to scrub down, and then go over again with body wash (cucumber melon is my favorite, but you may want something stronger).

All my gynos and other doctors have said not to use feminine washes or douches. It disturbs the natural flora and can cause yeast or bacterial infections. They say just plain water should clean you well enough. A mild soap like Ivory or Aveeno is another choice. If water or a mild soap doesn't make you feel fresh perhaps a trip to the doctor's is in order. Any peculiar smells or discharges should be looked at by your ob-gyn. Hope this helps.

okay this will sound weird but i learned this in nursing school, DONT douche not only will it get rid of the good bacteria it will push the bad bacteria up further in you, i have found using baby wash down there helps and keeps ya clean without the soapy burn

You defintiely should not douche!!!!! It disturbs natural flora in the vagina and throws off the normal pH which may turn into a yeast infection or vaginosis. You really should just use ivory or dove. I once used the feminine wash but theres no real difference. Keep the hair short........my grandmother also told me to use just a little lime juice fresh from a lime, water, and friction. And it works.....but if all these don't work I think u should visit the ob/gyn u may have an infection brewing.Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!

Unless your gyno specifically tells you to douche, don't do it. It's unnecessary and can really screw up your body chemistry.
If you're talking just regular body wash for external use only, any major brand is fine, just use whatever fits your budget and taste.
