Can I use my american cell phone (verizon) in israel?

I would like to use my cell phone is israel. Any suggestions on how to do this as cheap as possible?

    Check on Verizon's website so see if they support international roaming. It will be expensive though. But if they don't, you need to find a cellphone there probably.

    No. Verizon uses CMDA. That is not supposed to work in Israel (they use GSM).
