    Just look at all the areas where there is debate... like republicism, and following the US line re the war... there is plenty of healthy dissention. Also, if everyone was a follower then the where would the innovation be, how would Australia have been able to win the America's Cup all those years ago.... what about boat people and the detention centres... or even the drought restrictions - their seemed to be a lot of different opinions about that. Followers don't innovate - they copy.... Stress all the inventions and new ideas. Look at the role Australian bands have in the music world... not a lot of followers there....

    If you are in a debate and you are on the negative side, you have to argue against the statement.

    Research the areas where Australia has been a pioneer and led the world. Mention all the things that are uniquely Australian (besides kangaroos and koalas - I mean social habits)

    umm maybe that no one has their own opion and the country culd be run by ppl change things for wat they want, i dunno hope that mite help
