Problems with certain websites?
When I do a search on ebay the page wont load and I get a HTTP 500 internal server error. It also says the website is under maintenance or has a programming error. This happens everytime. If I use my wifes laptop its fine. I also have problems with other sites such as bebo.
Ive tried resetting my internet explorers advanced settings, clearing my cache,and windows updates are up to date.
it works using my wifes laptop so the server is ok
I am sat next to my wife using her she is using her laptop. She can access bebo.com and ebay I cant

do a virus scan sounds like you have a pooched crap i forgot its name its a dll file for going on line i had to fix my moms computer ages ago cus it got messed up i download a new copy of the dll and pasted it back in windows ok i remembered it Winsock dll so go here

download a new one and paste it in windows or windows 32 folder cant remember where its is I use a mac now so i have forgot some windows stuff ... also try downloading firefox browser and see what happens beside internet exploiter is garbage to many holes and unsafe.

HTTP error 500 means that something has gone wrong on the server. They should be able to cope with any request they get, so if a request makes the server side programming fall over, it's definitely their fault, not yours. Most likely it is just a temporary glitch and will clear up.

it just sounds like their server is down or going through some maintenance work..
