why do people teach or say the commandments are not to be followed when Jesus said otherwise?
Do not think that I have come to abolish the law and the prophets; I have come not to abolish them but to fulfill them. For truly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the law until all is accomplished. Whoever then relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but he who does them and teaches them shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I tell you, unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of Heaven (Matthew 5:17-20).
in this scripture it clearly states all men are to abide by the law and that any man that does not or teaches that you do not will be punished for doing so.....
why would any of the disciples teach differently, they do not, it is the person who reads the word and says it says this when in truth it says do that

Some so called Christians say that obedience is not required for the same reasons Atheists say God does not exist. So they can continue in their sin and not feel bad about it. Some will even say that the Gospel of Jesus was only for the Jews and the Gospel of Paul for the Gentiles. This is of course not true. Both preached the same Gospel and that gospel is obedience (works) is required. Obedience will not get you into heaven, only the blood of Jesus will do that. But, make no mistake willfull, habitual, unrepentant disobedience will definately get you into hell.
John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
Luke 6:46 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?
Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

One of the definitions of the word abolish is to destroy. Jesus did not come to destroy the law. The Apostle Paul, at Galatians 3:24 said that the law was a "tutor LEADING to Christ." When something you picture or dream of comes true your dream is FULFILLED, correct? So that which the law pointed to was fulfilled in Jesus.

Don't keep asking a worldly, public forum for the truth or you'll just wind up with many blasphemous and outrageous, untrue blabber.
Let me know after you've gone to that site and done your homework. Good luck.

Many Chrisitians don't bother to read the Bible. They swallow whole the teachings that they hear without using the mind and intellect to see if what they are being told is consistent with scripture.
People who are presumtuous enough to make religious and doctrinal claims really need to have the documentation to back up their rhetoric.
Jesus came to take away your sins, not to steal your brain.

Actually you said it.... It was fulfilled.
Want biblical evidence? It says it all throughout the New Testament. Some in the Old too... "A new covenant I will make with Israel... not like the old." (Think the quote is a bit off but it should be enough to find it on Biblegateway.com if you want.

Because they no longer consider themselves a sinner, and therefore no longer hold dear and love God's law, so as to always know what Jesus has done for them.

jesus himsely broke the commandment against work on sundays, so i think when he talks of law it is not those commandments but the commandments he talks about in the new testament that are important.
look up what he said to the man who wanted to know what he had to do to be perfect. much different than the ot commandments.
