Dr Who - The Last of the Time Lords **SPOILERS POSSIBLY***?
Have been reading (lots) this AM about the Toclophane from Sound of Drums (SoD henceforth). In SoD, The Master (TM) says if he (DR) lnew it would stop both his hearts. There is a rumour that the Beeb accidentally leaked on their website (but have since removed, so no corroboration) that the Toclophane from SoD are a dalek/TL hybrid. Any thoughts on this? Hopefully not just trawling out the daleks for the third season finale in a row. RTD, you can do better if this is so. I'm hoping they're the consciousness of all the kids who stared into the eye and went a bit bonkers.
Spacephantom - naughty boy for not sharing with your friends, play nice. Seriously can't contain my excitement, so looking forward to next week's episode.
Paul T - dunno about Castaway, never watched it. I got my nickname because of what I felt like after my sons were born (ie a milk machine). LOL

I saw the BBC's press release about "Last of the Time Lords" which was accidentally leaked last week. It did contain a massive spoiler, but it didn't mention Daleks or human / Dalek hybrids at all. Its much bigger than that. Huge in fact. I can't wait :-)).
OK Daisy- here is the link to the press release. But, be warned. DO NOT LOOK AT IT unless you absolutely don't mind seeing a massive SPOILER.

Also - if you do look at it, please don't post stuff about it without appropriate spoiler warnings, and spoil it for others.

You know how Russell T. likes anagrams,
Toclafane is an anagram of 'a conflate' which is a merger/fusion of two entities into one.
Haven't seen the leak, I'm wondering whether its Dalek&Gelth to have rift jumping properties or similarly Cybergelth but if SpacePhantom is saying its huge it must be even better than that.
The Master did call them kids while voodoo child was druming out...is there a significance? CyberMasters ?

I was thinking that the Toclofane contained the essences of other Time Lords. John Simm was just fantastic as The Master. Looking forward to the final episode. I hope David Tennant isn't leaving.

Just wait until Saturday and watch the Programme. Wasn't Daisy the cow on Castaway.

I think the Toclaflane are what is left of the matrix and the Time Lord minds stored in it and its how they hid from the Daleks....but then I'm usually wrong about these things.

That episode left me worrying that the Doctor would regenerate soon. I really hope that doesn't happen. I really love how they worked in the Torchwood crossover, and Jack's comment about how he also loves the doctor.
Hopefully the master sticks around after the finale also. Best. Villain. Ever.

I've been theorising since Saturday !!I think,as you do ,that the Tochs are something to do with the timelord children who look into the vortex as there are about three references to 'running and running and running!'the first time by the Doctor on his description of what he did upon gazing into the vortex, then the Master on his description of what he did when Gallifrey was being destroyed then finally the female Toch says"The darkness is coming, and the cold...We'll have to Run and run and run!"I think that it's the timelord children.,but knowing me I'm probably TOTALLY wrong !! xxx
