Homosexuals and christians?

" Do not be deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, NOR HOMOSEXUALS.....shall inherit the kingdom of God" ...... And such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God". (I Corin. 6:9-11)

Many homosexuals have been completely set free to live a holy life through the power of Jesus Christ.

it all depends on the family. My father is a pastor and has a gay brother and my dad is totally cool with it. He doesn't sit there and lecture his brother on the fact that he's gay and that christianity goes against it. My whole family is fine with it. It just depends on the family and how they look at it. If they choose to be homo and christian thats fine but they need to know before hand that they might get some criticism from other church members.

Many Christians and even some denominations are more than welcoming of homosexuals. Try the Unitarian Universalist church, and don't sell your family short. They often judge the individual, not the label.

Besides, they are supposed to hate the sin, love the sinner.

I feel grateful that I'm gay, if only because it helped open my eyes to the despicable hypocrisy of most brands of Christianity. I like to think I would've figured it out anyway, but it helps when you're abused your entire life in Jesus' name, by people who actually believe that they're acting on Jesus' behalf.

See the two loathsome 'holes above me. And many more below. You'll have to contend with this attitude a lot in life, especially if you surround yourself with this type of "Christian" bigot. Stay away from them and you'll need a lot less therapy. There ARE cool people in the world - even some "Christians"!

Biblical Christianity and Homosexuality are incompatible:

"Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator— who is forever praised. Amen. Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion. Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done." Rom 1:24-28

Jude 1:7 "In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire."

Heb 13:4 "Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral."

Furthermore Jesus said concerning marriage "at the beginning of creation God ‘made them male and female.’" of which he took as a precedent for marriage

the Bible clearly says that homosexuality is a sin. so if u were a gay christian, u'd be a walking contradiction. if ur a christian, u can't "choose" what aspects abt the religion to follow.

Homosexuals absolutely cannot be Christian while being homosexual, it would make them a hypocrite it says directly in the Bible that homosexuality is wrong (Romans: 1:20-32)

it's easy..you shut up about your sexual preferences and give love and respect to your familiy and hopefully receive the same....

what if their family was all vegan and they're a meat eater? do you openly discuss your differences with your family? if you want to start an argument if you do...if not...you ignore it and find what you do have in common and go with it. good luck in therapy.

There are many wonderful heterosexual intelligent Christians who embrace the sexuality of all humanity.

Only the ignorant fundies make an issue of it.
