A private seller doesn't have to pay to register, but I don't know if that's the same for business sellers. You only pay for each item you offer and if it sells eBay get a share of the final sale price too. If it doesn't sell they won't get that, but you still have to pay for putting the item on the site. You can either pay the fees for each auction individually or eBay can take payment automatically, I pay a one-off rather than allow them access to my account. Don't forget if you use PayPal they also have fees, so by the time they've been taken you'll have considerably less money than you had when the sale ended! They're quite greedy I think, especially as they're making massive profits.

You pay the fees everytime you sell an item, and don't forget you also get charged a sellers fee which isn't much.

A naughty tip to gain your fee money back is to add it to your postage and packing fee, eg if it costs £8 to send an item charge £10-£12....Good luck..

There are fees every time you list an item for advertising it as you describe, you will also then pay a final value fee or commision on the final auction price, E Bay will bill you monthly.

Every time you list you have to pay the fees ....I do it in one go after i have completed my listings....

Look at similar items and see what they are going for ..start the bidding at 99p then the fees are less... O ver 99p it is more .

Dont forget to make sure you charge enough for postage and packaging and have your paypal verified to save any complications

I am interested to know what you sell, i am in australia and i am not sure of your location but is unlikely we will interfere with each others market, I sell quad bikes and other items perhaps we can collaborate on knowledge basis and both profit, My costs are usually about $30- $40 depends on the sale price, but i keep the listing simple. email me on venomquads@gmail.com
