    This was mentioned at the time when he ran the 200 record at the Olympics. Regardless of how you figure times, the title of world's fastest man always goes to the 100 meter runner.

    No, the 100m and the 200m are different

    In the 100, runners only hit top speed after about 4 econds and then run at top speed til the end of the race

    In the 200 they take the same amoount of time to reach top speed, but they stay at top speed til the end of the race

    No, because Johnson only had to start up out of the blocks once, not twice; the second 1/2 of his run was at top speed the whole way.

    100 M Dash= Worlds fastest man. Though I'm sure that if Michael Johnson went for the 100, he may have won it. The title goes to the 100 M winner.

    Even professional sprinters can only hold their top-end speed for about 40 meters.
