Vicks vaporub on the upper lip.Also put some coffee grounds in a pan on the stove over a fire. That helps a lot.

As some answered, we use Vicks VapoRub under our nose or I sometimes suck on a mint to counteract the smells. I am fairly used to the smells by now and they rarely even bother me anymore. There is also something called SanVeino that can be sprayed on the body, it is amazing. It kills the odor instantly.

After awhile, it is less anxiety-provoking to them so they just get used to it.
