Just spread Ortho insect killer on my lawn...?
It said to water it down after spreading it, which I did. My question is How long should I wait before I let my dogs outside??? I had to use it in the dog run too. Of course the stuff is hazerdous to humans and pets.
I work at PetSmart and the stuff we sell does not kill the insects that I have. Its mostly flea and tick killers.

Yes it is hazardous, but once you water it down, and the lawn dries, it should be fine to let your pets out. Pets keen smell will also tell it not to venture near.

Wait for the lawn to dry, and then re-water. It is going to take some time for the toxins to wear down. Your dogs could get sick just from the poison being on their paws and then licking it, or it adsorbing through their skin.
Next time, buy some garlic based yard spray. I use that, and Borax the inside of my home and do not have a problem with fleas, nor ticks. I also view Frontline and other topical flea and tick treatments as poison too.

It has to be dry before your pets can walk on it. Maybe they will have to go for a walk on their leashes for today. Oh, take them to the park for a swim. They would love it and you could swim too.
