I don't, but do you get mad when ppl post questions in the wrong category?

Can you get on w/ your life or do you have to tell that person what an idiot they are? If it does make you mad, why? It's not a big deal!!!! I've had some nasty replies about posting a question in the wrong category! It would take a lot more than that to make me that angry! Anyone else agree w/ me?

I think it is not a big deal, but this case must be a lesson for people and Yahoo!Answer to improve their engine. Some questions can just belong to more than one category.

For example if I want to ask about some physical chemistry problem, I think it is alright to post them on physic and chemistry category. Not to mention questions about astrobiology, extinct civilizations, or psychological problem that may have connection with religion or community.

Anyway I think we should tell people that it is better to post question in the right category, so they can get the answer they needed.

If they make it obvious what their question is from the get go, then I'm not so annoyed but some post "Pleze answer this!" then you click on it to see if you can help and it's a stupid question from another category. Now I've wasted my time by having to click on it to even figure out what they're asking.

People too stupid to use appropriate categories should at least have the courtesy to make their questions clear in the headline so we can skip them.

I don't get mad, I just politely inform them that I think it would be in their best interest to post their question in a more suitable category. I've actually had people get mad at me for doing that! You try to help people, and they get mad at you, go figure!

  • I would NOT get mad or call the person a bad name , but if it's a question that is really off

as far as category I'll ask them why

I only (politely) tell them that they may receive a better response if they were to post in the "correct" category if they are getting little to no proper answers.

I don't get mad, I just think it's a bit stupid. How hard is it to post in the right category? Not very.

This column has really made me realize just how dumb some people are. I mean some one asked if huge bump on his child's arm that hurt really bad and came out of no where was a reason to see the Doctor. Yes sometimes I feel compelled to tell some one they're an idiot.

Its annoying I think. If you want to search something about pregnancy and end up with a question about the stock market...but t sure is not the end of the world. What can I say? The world is one ANGRY toddler!

No. We can't expect all people to be perfect. We are just humans and you know that.
