Will my SAT scores affect my admission to, lets say UT austin.?

My SAT scores were:

Math: 540

Reading: 540

Writing: 600

a total of 1680

Im just wondering, and my gpa is 3.5

Do they look more than just your scores and gpa to get accepted?

    colleges also look for volunteer work and activities that you do at school and after school.

    college sometimes dont care about your sat so i think your fine.
