How can I block my daughter from buying songs with explicit lyrics from iTunes?

I checked her playlist recently and was horrified at some of the vulgarity (and I don't consider myself a prude but Jefree Star? come on! that's not appropriate for anyone!). I've deleted items from her library that I don't approve of. I know that she wouldn't be able to walk into a music store and buy albums with parent advisories, why is she able to do it online? Does iTunes have a filter to prevent children from buying that stuff?

    OK i know!!!!

go to your daughters iTunes go to edit>Prefrences>parental control and then click restrict explicit content. Click the lock if you want to save the changes. To delete the songs just highlight that song and press delete. email me if you need help!

yes, I believe you can select the parental tab and block songs with explicit lyrics, however, you would have to make sure your daughter couldn't change it (is this her own account?)

you should just change her password to something only you know & then she would have to get your permission for each song she downloads

I don't let my daughter (she's 14) download songs, she makes a list & then I approve them & download them for her

I'm not a prude either, but you are right, some of the stuff that is available out there today is pretty disgusting

I think so also you could just tell her that you dont approve and if she wont obey the rules thst you are going to have to take her favorite things away from her until she will be responsible enough for them...You have to draw the line

do they down load it from a puter you can put parental controls on that site and they would have to ask. it can be done by either your firewall or a program off your computer.
