Yahoo mail slow and unreliable?
Over the last month acquintances and I have noticed a marked quality drop in Yahoo mail. We have all been using the new version and have liked the features. I have switched back to the old version but see no improvement. The mail loads slowly, the page flashes alot, and when trying to check on messages often refreshes the page. This has only been for the last month or so, ironically (maybe not) the sidebar and header ads always seem to be fine and quickly load. I even pay for DSL/mail with AT&T/Yahoo and the service sucks. Anyone else having this and has anyone gotten an explaination from Yahoo?

My mail is not like that and never have trouble with it. It could be a glitch on Yahoo part or it could be your connection. :(

Over the last few years I've noticed consistent quality with Yahoo mail, then out of the blue it got markedly faster, but only for an hour or so, then went back to it's usual shitty quality. In other words, when has Yahoo ever been worth a damn?

No, I haven't gotten any problems whatsoever. There is a chance that maybe you have spyware on your computer? If not, then it must be your connection. I hear DSL is slower than many people think. My parents subscribe to some kind of an internet plan from a place called "Regional Council" in Edmonton. They only provide service to treaty Aboriginal Natives, which my mom is. We have our cable connected to our router so we're wireless. I believe that WiFi is more unreliable than wired DSL.

I agree, I've noticed the exact same thing.
I haven't found out any reason why though.
