Is it advisable to go to York (UK)?

I was just wondering how bad the flood destruction is and whether it is best not to go anymore. Thanks.

    York isn't too bad, but avoid Sheffield unless you have scuba gear.

    Most of the flooding is south of York - Rotherham/Sheffield
