Mixed race religious tennis doubles. Is it a sin.??????????????
I am absolutely seething with anger. I have just read on Yahoo news that two people who play tennis are apprehensive about their doubles because God forbid one is Jewish and the other is Indian. Are we still living in the middle ages .? We have women murdered in the name of so called family honour,we have women stoned to death for comitting adultery.you have the possibility of a game of tennis being dis-rupted.
And all of this in the name of God.
If you are a Jew you have the Tanakh,Muslim, the Koran,etc.etc.
For anyone who has the slightest knowledge the main theme running through these holy books is GOD IS LOVE.
ANYONE WHO HATES OR KILLS IN THE NAME OF GOD is doing the work of the devil.

At first I thought this might be a question from someone with a religious agenda who had misunderstood the news report.

But no, it seems that certain crazies from two of the three main monotheist religions want to bring their insane and hateful conflict into sport as well. A star from me, too.
IS NOTHING SACRED?

The world has produced a group of anomalies who seem to be stupid. How has this particular Israeli guy offended Pakistan? Because he believes in the same God in a different way? Because his county's government, not him personaly, don't recognise a state which just happens to be Islamic?
If anything can they not see by partnering with the very guy, whatever the political situation, has allowed their country, Pakistan, to be given a good name. They should be proud that their player is doing well and is playing in such a prestigious tournament all with the help of an Israeli. Does this not give the message that muslims and jews can get along peacfully and really the battles/wars going on in the name of God is not really about religion its just pure politics and the parties just identify themselves through their religious beliefs. I say shane on these people as they contradict the very teaching they teach their children and should practice themselves - thou shalt not take the name of god in vain.
For these so called believers of God I can only say they are the people of evil and the devils work on earth who torment us and leads us astray from gods trueness.

All religion breeds intolerance. People deny it, but they're talking sh1t. Think about it- every person with a strong faith believes THEIR faith is right and others wrong, don't they? Ultimately it just escallates and causes problems like this tennis nonsense we have here.
When I have kids, religion's not getting anywhere near them until they're old enough to think and make decisions for themselves. I don't see why it isn't considered child abuse, to be perfectly honest.

Well said. Trouble is, I think some people *are* still living in the Middle Ages.

It is horrible. People shamelessly hate one another on account of religion, and find ways to exclude and denigrate.
