Cruise to Bahamas or stay at Atlantis resort?

Family of six (ages 14 and up) will be taking a trip to the Bahamas in March. Can't decide on cruise or just fly down and stay at the Atlantis resort. Does anyone have any experience with these two trips? Would love to hear your comments on the pros and cons.

Atlantis Hotel, no doubt. There is a lot to do at the hotel if you look at the website, they have around 20 pools, a wave pool, lots of aquariums and different animals, the beach is right there, a teen club open is in the hotel for kids at night, a casino, many shops within and nearby the hotel, a comedy club, restaurants, a lot of free movies that had just come out of theaters in the US, and a lot of other things to do. Friday nights they have traditional junkanoos in the Marina village (part of the hotel) which are festivals that are cool to watch. The dining around the hotel is excellent. Additionally, close by the Atlantis you can swim with dolphins through Dolphin Encounters (http://dolphinencounters1-px.rtrk.com)/ which is a lot of fun for families with kids around that age. The beach at the Atlantis also has companies you can rent jet-skis through and parasailing too, which is a fun experience. The hotel has a lot more to do than a cruise and just seeing it as a stop on a cruise doesn't allow enough time to see everything within the hotel.

i recently went on a cruise with my family! it was awesome!

i am 21 and i have a sister who is 22 so we got a room together then i have a brother who is 18 and one who is 16 they stayed together and my parents together. i really liked it cause we had a lot of freedom( well the whole ship) and we had a buddy system ( even tho were old we enjoyed it) there is always something going on and there r free show EVERY night and game show( they pick ppl the be the players) and you win things. and go on a Norwegian cruise b/c the r "freestyle" which means that you don't have to be at dinner at 6 or 8 EVERY night of the cruise. also you get to visit lots of places. also don't worry about sea sick ness it doesn't feel like your moving. it is truly an experience they will never forget!

Fly down and stay at atlantis, this resort is just beautiful.

    I relaly don't like cruises

I would choose the cruise. I don't like Nassau very much, and the cruise would be cheaper than the Atlantis.

cruise without a doubt...its less inexpensive, at atlantis it would be about a 20,000 dollar vacation...and cruises are so much more fun...u can always visit the resort its absolutely beautiful! make sure u check out the aquariums!
