if you're using a black purse i would wear black shoes with some black accessories and maybe throw in some silver to go with the bag.

I think the accessories have allot to do with it, but wouldn't the style of the dress have something to do with it too? Black would be the way to go not seeing the dress but my wife always asks what she should wear with this or that and i think it should be your personal preference after trying it on and looking in the mirror
