4x + 4 > 3x + 3
because i need to graph it.

4x+4>3x+3
Subtract 3x from both sides.
1x+4>3
Subtract 4 to both sides.
1x>-1
x>-1 is your solution set.
Draw a number line. Put an open circle (not colored in) on -1and a line going to the right with an arrow at the end.
You ONLY change the direction of the inequality symbol if you multiply or divide by a negative.

We want to put the x's and the numbers on two different sides because they are, obviously, two different things.
Most people concentrate on the x first, because that is what we will solve for.
How do we move the +3x over? (The + part is because it is positive) We do the opposite of +, we -
So, -3x. Do this to BOTH sides because we must keep the sides equal. If mom takes three apples away from Sibling A, she ought to take three apples away from Sibling B.
4x+4>3x+3
-3x -3x
4x-3x=x
3x-3x=0
Replace the old with the new...
x+4>3 (I just got rid of the zero)
Now, move the 4 over by ...yes, you guessed it... subtracting it from both sides.
Now, we have...
x>3-4 OR x>-1
* This is read as all numbers greater than -1, not including -1.
To graph it...
Left is LESS, so right is MORE.
Draw a number line and find the number -1. Draw an open circle there, because -1 is not included in the *-ed sentence.
There are numbers to the right and left of -1. We want the numbers greater, so we draw a line to the right (remember right is more) with a little arrow...
I think I went into more detail than was necessary.
Hope this helps. ^_^

Simply subtract (3x+4) from both sides and you get
x > -1
Pretty simple to graph. Draw a circle around -1, and darken the line extending to the right.
