Any good video game storylines out there except Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts?

One of the Best Storylines from a game was Dragon Quest VIII. It was a very nice RPG game that had a very long involved story and a few nice sidequests, some very nice voice acting (which added nicely to the overall storyline), and a lot of cool weapons.

There is a very exciting story that does not end with the final boss, but I really do not want to spoil it for you, so I will not go any further.

The game is set in a medieval world, and focuses on Swords and Magic type of battles, all turn based with some funny animations for the attacks.

Other great games, anything in the Legend of Zelda series, especially Ocarina of Time, Link to the Past, and Twilight Princess. Those games have a very exciting story, with a lot of fun side quests that are optional, but add to the storyline. Wind Waker is also a good game, but the graphics are a bit different then previous games.

I also would recommend you to look into some of the other Final Fantasy Games.

I really enjoyed Final Fantasy IV and VI, VII and X were really great. I am currently playing II, III, V, IX, and XII (Well, I started all of them, and I occassionally get back to moving them along, just get overwhelmed with all of these other games)

Another fun game is the New Super Mario Bros. That had a fun storyline to it, and the stages were fun.

I'm guessing you own a PS2 and Xbox.

For the PS2 the game with the best storyline outside of Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts is Metal Gear Solid 3. For the Xbox it would be Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic. Appearing on both consoles, the games would be Beyond Good and Evil, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, Indigo Prophecy, Metal Gear Solid 2, Jade Empire, Fable, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.

Yes there are so many good games out there with amazing storylines. Here's some of my favourites:

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell

Metal Gear Solid 1, 2 and 3

Fahrenheit

Legend of Zelda Series

That's all I can think of for now sorry, but try them out!

I think you could choose Suikoden III.. It has a good story line

Every game was made to make all the players can enjoy the game.. So you must enjoy the game to understand the good storyline.
