my ford Granada Scorpio has a dinging alarm on when i switch on the lights can anyone help cure this.?

    Yes that reminds you turn off the lights when the key is removed. Start the car alarm stops right?

    one of ur door switches that turn on the interior light might b stuck or broke making ur car think ur gettin out and leaving lights on hence the alrm check each door and c wich 1 doesnt turn off the interior light when u close it thats the switch thats probably broke or stuck either way its a cheap fix.u will find de switch in door recess near lock its not on the door itself but were door meets frame

    I suspect that the door switch (micro switch in the door aperture) is not registering that the door is closed. If the courtesy light is not working either (or is always on) then change the door switch - Find one for a few pence in any scrap yard.

    that alarm should only be going off if the lights are on when either the door is open or the ignition is turned off to stop you locking up the car and leaving the lights on. if it happens all the time its a faulty sensor.

    the alarm should only come on when you open your door with your lights on. It is a warning to switch them off when you get out of the car.

    if it realy bothers you leave the car in the garage at night and walk or take a bus lol

    try takeing the live battry lead off it mite reset its self but make sure you have the code number for your radio if it is a coded one

    year please ? so if its older .the **** thing is above the glove box . i unplug and bend over the tangs to the ones i don't want to hear . i use my lights during a light rain so i kept the one that reminds me to shut them off .
