Help! My Five Month Old Daughter Is Throwing Up!?

About around eight o'clock at night she drank a 4oz bottle of formula. Around 11:14 she started throwing up. So far she threw up twice. I tried to give her pedialyte but she would not drink it. Does she has the 24 hour stomach flu or was she just too full?

You can tell the difference between spitting and vomiting. My daughter was about 6 months and got a stomach flu and spent a day throwing up. You are not suppose to give her anything for an hour after she threw up. Then start with just a little bit of fluids and see if that stays down if she throws it up again wait an hour and start over. I would call her doctors office even if its closed, mine has an after hours nurse who can help you.

First off don't attempt to give her any more pedialyte. She's too young to be given anything supplemental without a doctors opinion. Make sure that she is being fully burped and held upright or sat upright for awhile after eating. If it continues call your ped right away. And definately call in the morning . Good luck!

could be a virus.does she have a fever?or any other symptoms?i wouldn't worry unless she continues to throw up,or has a fever.possibly a reaction to the formula.keep an eye on her if this continues, see your doctor in the morning.

See your family physician or if there is a high fever or continued vomiting go to the hospital

It could be either, or she just could have had something that upset he stomach. In many young children you do not know what will happen with foods until you find out, everyone is different!!!
