Were Kevin Durant a PF or an SF?

I'm really confused. He had that SF range but his slashing ability is very limited. His footwork is more like a post player.

Thanks.

durant's going to start out as a sf since he's so rail-thin, but he should be fine at the 3 since i remember durant was once compared to mcgrady, who is known as a good ballhandler and a great passer. there was talk, though, about durant becoming power forward because i think he is 6'10''. so once he's strong enough, i guess they're going to move him to the 4 because he HAS been compared also to dirk and kg, both power forwards. for now though, he's probably going to start out as a SF since he most likely wouldn't be able to out-muscle the great pf's in the West, like pacific-division opponent elton brand.

sf but he will be a power forward when he packs on the muscle. then he can be somewhat like an amare stoudemire(if durant gets much stronger)

he can be a dangerous shooter outside as well as an inside threat. just like stoudemire he has the chance to have that dangerous combination, too fast for centers and power fowards and too strong for small fowards.

but again it all depends on his workout program.

id rather have him as a power foward who has the abilities as shooting ability Garnett andthe inside game of Duncan.

but then again as you seen the nba is slowly evolving into hybrid positions.

    stoudemire is a PF/C

    marion is a SG/SF/PF

    barbosa PG/SG

teams like phoenix are slowly having players who can play multiple positions(so only 6 or 7 players play a game). toronto is doing this too

^ He wouldnt even be Dirk... Im sure Dirk can bench more than 185 and hes stronger. Durant is skinnier than Whitney Houston... His game is nasty but the kids skin and bones if he gained like 40 he'd be beastly inside as well

wow i am confused too so i say both because you say were which would be for a plural thing instead of was or maybe is so durant first ever SPF okay which is sunblock rating maybe stop amare next year huh

sf, he is quick, athletic, and can shoot from outside, a pf doesnt have those abilities

I can absolutely assure you he'll be a SF in the NBA.

definitely sf! imagine him having to guard a real power forward like carlos boozer, amare stoudamire, or even nene, unless od'd on steroids, he'll get pummeled.

    SF.

    He cant bench 185.

Duncan would absolutley tare him up.

    Hes not strong.

If he was a PF, he would be Dirk Nowitzski(sp?)

Stay outside, make plays for himself.
